In Competition
In Chicago there were 950 competitors in a terrific event hosted by ISKC.
This event began at 9am and was completed by 7:30pm without a glitch.
A number of promoters in attendance were amazed at the quality of the event with such large numbers and how smoothly it went.

It was 1987 when John DiPasquale introduced the Traditional Karate Circuit (TKC) as an alternative to athletes. More than 600 hundred athletes attended the first Nationals that offered $2400 in prize money.
In 2000, the TKC expanded its tournament schedule to 3 tournaments; 2 in Chicago and one in Palm Springs.
In 2003, it grew to four events, adding one in Los Angeles.
Six Events in 2004
Recently, in Chicago, efforts were made to expand to six events for 2004. In addition the tournaments will have a ranking system and TKC will restart its National Championship.
A main goal is to support TKC athletes to NGB or AAU and International events.
It is expected that by 2005 the circuit will grow to eight tournaments including one in St. Louis.
